Approaching Organisations
Approaching organisations continuously implement cultural changes that enable and empower employees to make data-driven decisions. The adoption of a data culture and prioritised strategic initiatives enable them to disrupt their industry using AI for new business models and streamlining of operational processes.
These organisations are ready to learn about custmised AI solutions through the digitisation of assets and infusion of AI to automate processes; they have the ability to implement solutions using quick iterative sprints and value learning; are ready to embrace rapid experimentation and to invest in understanding how to implement, monitor, and improve AI over time.
Continuous investments in accountability protocols for AI governance; monitoring, orchestrating, and improving AI; and infusing ethical perspectives when deploying AI-based systems will help organisations garner experience to digitally transform.Aspirational Organisations
Aspirational organisations tend to:
➔ understand that AI is key to compete and evolve.
➔ be aware of their competition’s use of AI and its disruption of the sector/industry.
➔ regularly improve processes and use data to take informed-decisions.
➔ focus on shifting culture to empower employeesto increase collaboration, generate ideas for optimisation, and help to create new business models.
➔ be increasingly comfortable with risk-taking and strive to move towards iterative projects instead of fixed projects.
➔ adopt configurable AI (i.e. AI hosted by tech companies eg. Microsoft).
➔ infuse AI into digital experiences without the complexity of maintaining the core AI.
➔ experiment with more advanced customised AI, to know more about ownership, orchestration, and operational considerations.
Such organisations invest in using advanced analytics (predictive and prescriptive) for decision-making, shift the culture toward experimentation, and investigate custom AI for new experiences.
Mature Organisations
➔ have a lifelong learning culture and a growth mindset.
➔ naturally carry out rapid, iterative experiments.
➔ embrace a data culture to help translate insights into actions.
➔ curate AI creation talent and apply them to other AI initiatives simultaneously.
➔ understand how to create digital impactful experiences.
➔ infuse ethical perspectives into their experience creation process asking “we know we CAN do things with AI, but SHOULD we?”
Mature Organisations should continue to evaluate tool chains for configurable and custom AI while maintaining operational diligence for monitoring, retraining, and implementing AI-based systems. the areas of focus for such organisations should be to retaining AI talent, prioritise innovative strategic initiatives, and embrace agile experimentation.
